Richard has specialised in immigration law since 1993. He sat as an Immigration Judge between 2000 and 2014 and has written extensively about immigration law.

For many years he was the General Editor of Butterworths Immigration Law Service, and still provides a monthly legal update for the newsletter of the Council of Immigration Judges.

He is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association and for many years sat on its Executive Committee. He regularly provides training in immigration law by way of seminars and webinars.

He is also available to represent clients on a direct public access basis.
